Aloha!
Our Hawaiian journey is more than just a scenic escape; it’s a fusion of strategic meetings and awe-inspiring experiences.
Yesterday, amidst the tropical backdrop, our day began with a crucial board meeting over breakfast.
Amidst changing plans, we rescheduled our afternoon session with Miguel to later this that evening.
Imagine discussing business strategies with the stunning Diamond Head in view and the soothing sounds of waves as our soundtrack.
One of the key topics was a new book project spearheaded by Liz, focusing on a subject close to our hearts: relationships strained by tax problems.
This topic resonates deeply with us, as when Liz and I got married, I grappled with eight years of unfiled tax returns.
We understand firsthand the stress, trust issues, and the feeling of being stuck that couples face in such situations.
This book is aimed at guiding partners through these taxing times.
Bella, brimming with creativity, proposed comic-style ads and videos for marketing the book – a fresh and engaging approach to a serious topic.
After hours of brainstorming and planning, we decided to take a break and explore the island further.
Our adventure led us to Kailua Beach, often hailed as one of the most stunning beaches in the world.
While Liz and Bella enjoyed the sun, I delved into “10x is Easier than 2x” by Dan Sullivan, a book that my good friend, Rob Minton recommended.
The day wasn’t just about relaxation, though.
We returned to Waikiki for a dinner meet-up with my colleague and fellow tax expert, Miguel Romero.
You might recall him from the Pronto Tax Conference in San Diego. Our conversation veered towards potential collaborations on tax workshops and other exciting future endeavors.
The evening took an unexpected turn when Liz and Bella discovered that the Long Beach State Volleyball Team was in town for a match against the University of Hawaii, the “Boos”.
The game was intense, with Hawaii pulling off an impressive win on their Senior Night. Witnessing such a high-level athletic competition was indeed a highlight.
