Carlos is a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents and the American Society of Tax Problem Solvers. His dedication to helping clients from all walks of life has earned him the 2020 Tax Professional of the Year Award, and an animated short film was created to tell his story.
He was also presented with the EXPY award by the National Association of Experts, Writers, and Speakers.

His soon-to-be-released book, The FTB Taxpayer Survival Guide: Navigating Tax Trouble in California with the Franchise Tax Board, offers practical advice and strategies for handling audits, appeals, and collection efforts with the FTB. Through his Tax Debt Consultant Podcast and YouTube channel, Carlos continues to share his expertise and provide valuable advice to listeners around the world. Carlos takes great pride in being a devoted husband to Elizabeth Samaniego,who holds the esteemed position of COO at Tax Debt Consultants. He is
also a loving father to his two children, Bella Samaniego and Andrew Samaniego. Andrew has distinguished himself as a graduate of the prestigious United States Naval Academy and now serves his country as a Naval Officer.
Carlos also has a special place in his heart for his German Shepherd dog, Bruno, whom he adores. In addition to his love for his family and pets,
Carlos is passionate about rescuing animals and supporting animal rescue organizations.
