Well, it’s official… we’re homeless again.
As I mentioned yesterday, we stayed in our Mountain Home Village house as long as we could.
But the “Line Fire” has exploded—over 26,000 acres now, and it’s just a quarter-mile from our doorstep.
For perspective, the last fire took three months to hit 20,000 acres. This one did it in just 4 days.
As a father, I couldn’t take any more chances with my family. I made the call.
We packed what we could and headed out. Luckily, I had the foresight to call the Ayres hotel in Redlands, where we lived for over a month during the last fire, four years ago.
That’s where we are now, living out of bags, unsure of what we’ll return to.
The pit in my stomach keeps growing. Will anything be the same again?
I keep thinking of the people from Paradise, CA, who lost everything.
It’s hard not to worry that we’re facing the same fate.
Right now, all we can do is pray—for the firefighters, first responders, and National Guard who are out there risking their lives to protect what they can.
I just hope everyone stays safe.
I posted an image of the fire’s size on my blog. You can see it here:https://carlossamaniego.com/blog/
If you check the map, you’ll see a red box marked MTH01—that’s our neighborhood.
So today, we’ll be working from the office. There’s not much else we can do at this point except to keep going—and be your lifeline against the IRS threats that can be as financially devastating as a fire.
If you’re ready to tackle your IRS Letter 11 problem or want to stop the IRS before they act, don’t wait for it to burn down your financial future.
