Why I let my dog star in a tax video

Carlos Samaniego · August 17, 2026 · 2 min read

I'm writing this from my library, iced tea in hand, and I've got something to tell you that has nothing to do with the IRS. Stick with me. It gets there.

Three weeks ago my daughter came home. She's at the Coast Guard Academy, and this was her window between training. Three weeks. That's it. That's all we got.

During that time, a wildfire came within two thousand feet of our house.

We got evacuated.

Yesterday, we came back to a power outage on her very last day home.

In between all that, we saw Phantom of the Opera, took a tram ride up a mountain just to feel sixty degrees again, and

I got to shine her shoes.

It was the first time since I was eighteen. Forty years, Friend. Forty years between those two moments.

I'm telling you this because I want you to know something about me.

I don't run this business from behind a desk, disconnected from real life. I run it in the middle of real life. Fires. Deadlines. Daughters growing up too fast.

All of it, at the same time.

And here's the part that matters to you.

While I was living all of that, I was also sitting in a room getting trained directly by the State of California on how CaliClaw operates.

Their tactics. Their timing. The exact moves they make and when they make them.

Most people never get near that information. I make sure I'm in the room every single time it's offered, because you can't fight a 2026 collector with a 2020 playbook.

We also filmed something you're going to want to see.

A short film on CaliClaw, shot for fun, and my dog Bruno talked his way into a starring role. Watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1AbNZ4pWS9k

I'm in the office all next week. Full days.

Ready to sit across from you and tell you the truth about where you stand and what it actually takes to get out.

Go to TaxDebtTriage.com and tell me what you're dealing with. Or call me straight at 909-570-1103 or book your own appointment at CallTaxEA.com

Pick a door. Just pick one.

To your survival.
Carlos "Missing my daughter" Samaniego, EA

P.S. The training I sit in on this week is the kind of thing that changes how fast I can move for you. CaliClaw doesn't wait for you to get ready. Neither should you.
