As I write this, looking out my window and watching the big oak trees and pine trees swinging back and forth.
Hurricane Hillary is starting to make her presence felt.
Last night, everything seemed calm, but at precisely 1:03 pm today, the winds began their dramatic waltz, the rain is coming down and the forecasters are warning of 6-10 inches of rain in the next 24 hours.
It’s a scene straight out of a movie; police cars have zoomed by, blasting mandatory evacuation notices, yet most of my neighbors, including yours truly, have adopted the “I’ll leave when I see it” approach.
Adventure, right?
In other stormy news, our resident YouTube critic, @goodchannel90, decided to share more of his “wisdom” with us.
Thought you’d get a kick out of this:
“@goodchannel90 has some intriguing thoughts about how money can apparently buy anything on TV – even credibility. But here’s the thing: PBS isn’t your run-of-the-mill commercial channel.
They choose stories based on merit.
And it’s not just PBS.
Giants like Fox, ABC, CBS, and radio stations across the country often ask for my input on IRS matters.
Makes you wonder, huh?
Our friend also seems to think you can DIY your way out of any situation, including serious IRS matters.
Well, if we follow that logic, why not attempt a root canal in front of your bathroom mirror? Or, better yet, become a concert maestro overnight and belt out Beethoven’s 9th on a kazoo?
While dreaming, let’s throw a cardboard sign up and sell a multi-million dollar estate!
Look, there’s a reason professionals exist in every field. Would anyone in their right mind try handling a complex legal case without a lawyer?
Expertise matters.
Especially when you’re up against the IRS behemoth.
So, while some might choose the path of DIY (or ‘Destruct It Yourself’), I’ll be here, guiding folks like you through the tax maze.”
For those of you who get a chuckle out of these exchanges, don’t worry; I’m not letting our troll dampen my spirits.
There’s a hurricane outside, but it’s all sunny in here.
Stay safe, and always remember:
Life’s too short not to dance in the rain (or hurricanes)!
All the best,
Carlos “Resolver” Samaniego
