Today, Andrew "The Eagle" Samaniego, reported for duty at the United States Naval Academy Preparatory School at the Naval Station in Newport, Rhode Island. To say how proud I am to seemy soon accomplished a goal he set out for himself over couple years ago it has been amazing.
As we took my son to the airport I had such mixed emotions. As a proud parents to his accomplishments to coming to realization he would no longer be part of my everyday day life like he has been for all these years.
My heart broke as his sister, Bella and my wife, said goodbye.
The last time we all felt this way was when our beloved, "King" passed away.
But the sadness will pass and we will always be proud of, Andrew.
Have you ever questioned yourself if you have what it takes to do your home business?
Have you ever questioned the products you promote or the leadership of the company you work with?
What about the people you work with… have you ever questioned their integrity?
Have you ever questioned the compensation plan or your ability to make money in your business?
You know it's perfectly natural to ask these types of questions from time-to-time but what can stop you COLD in your business is one word…
There is a difference between asking the occasional question and pure doubt that you can do something.
Usually I find that when people focus on doubt, when they focus on problems or their ability to do something, they usually stop working in their business or just plain quit. The doubt got the best of them and they are done, out of the game and probably won't come back.
Doubt takes you out of action. It causes you to stop working. When you stop working you don't make money. When you don't make money you quit.
Now let's look at the opposite.
When you take a lot of action in your business you start to have success. When you have success you make more money. When you have success you are able to help more people have success. When you have success it makes you want to work harder and take MORE ACTION.
When you take action, you have success and this takes you out of doubt.
So what are some of the things you can do to TAKE ACTION that will keep you out of doubt? Here are a few I recommend.
1. Get fully invested in your business. Make sure you own all your companies products and are positioned for the most income. This may take additional start-up cost but when you do this it shows that you are serious. People that spend more money to get started are usually more serious because they have "more skin in the game."
2. Get plugged in. Make sure you attend all of your company and leadership calls. Attend all events and know about all events that are happening. If there is a Facebook group for your business make sure you are on it and are active. People who are plugged in and attend calls and events are always take more action.
3. Have a daily method of operation. Know exactly what you will be doing every day in your business and DO IT! If you plan out your day, set goals and then track those goals, you will be in action and you will have success. Just make sure the daily activities you are doing are money producing like inviting someone to check out a product or opportunity or following-up with prospects or team members to help them get started.
Those are just 3 things you can do that will keep you in action.
Just remember this saying…
"Doubt Takes You Out Of Action, Action Takes You Out Of Doubt"
If you are looking for a home-based business that is simple to do and will let you stay in action… check out what I recommend below.
So many people these days have turned to the Internet to make extra or full time income, myself included. To many people it's a new concept but hundreds of thousands if not more make great incomes using the good old Internet.
Funny how in reality the Internet is not that old but it has changed the lives of so many in such a short period of time. Even people who don't feel very technical have been able to make a great living.
But what takes someone from being a brand new beginner to becoming we we like to call an "Online Marketing Master"?
Before I answer that let me tell you about something VERY exciting that launched this week…
This is a brand new training system that can take a brand new beginner and help them learn this amazing business called "Internet Marketing". It was created by several online millionaires who volunteered their time to teach and share their secrets with us.
So how does one become an Online Marketing Master?
First of all you have to want to make a change in your situation which usually requires a strong WHY. Your why is the reason you want to start an online business.
Maybe you are sick of the 9 to 5 rat race or you want to be a stay-at-home Mom or Dad. Perhaps you want to make it so your husband doesn't have to work so hard and can quit that second job so he can spend more time with the family. Maybe you like to travel and have dreams of going to exotic places.
To get these things it takes both MONEY and TIME…something that 85% of everyone walking around you wants more of.
To become a Master it takes someone who is willing to be EDUCATED and have a strong FOCUS and is willing to take ACTION. What is great about online marketing is you can be "Earning while you are learning." In fact there are many people making nice incomes who don't consider themselves "Masters" yet. Focusing on your goal and not getting distracted is another key skill that a "Master" needs to have. Too many people are chasing after shinny objects these days.
Online Marketing actually works. You just have to focus and actually apply your self.
So what else does it take to me an Online Marketing Master?
I really feel that first realizing the opportunity and potential is super important. Listen… it's no secret that the Internet is creating many many new opportunities and wealth out there. This is an undeniable fact… not just talk.
The big question that people have out there is…
"I''m just brand new and know nothing about marketing or selling things on the Internet, how could I ever make it happen for me online?"
The truth is, everyone who wants to become a Master has to start somewhere right? I mean there was a time you didn't know how to do email and surf the web….now you do if you are reading this! There was a time you didn't know how to read a book, ride a bike, drive a car…but at some point you took action to learn.
That is really the key here. Take the time and the effort to learn and not just learn but do.
Now having a great mentor, the right training and a system to make it happen are critical.
Combine all this and your chances for success are almost guaranteed…as long as you don't quit and work at it.
The goal of the Online Marketing Masters Workshop is to do what I've mentioned above. Take someone who is just starting out and take them to success by guiding them along the path of already successful online marketers.
It's also part of an online marketing system I use to run my home business….The Simple Money System.
So if you would like to check it out to see what we are doing here is what I recommend…
"We would like you to come to our City Council meeting on Monday and please wear your "Eagle Scout" Uniform." said the City Staff Member.
Although we where curious why the City wanted him to wear a boy scout uniform, as a scouting parent you are kinda used to having to attend many different functions where your son needs to wear a uniform.
Well, last night came around and we noticed a few other high school students at the City Council meeting.
A few minutes later, Mayor Hoyt of Yucaipa had announced the next item on the agenda was the appointment of the new Yucaipa Youth Commission members for the next 12 months for the City of Yucaipa.
Andrew was one of the students that had been appointed on the Yucaipa Youth Commission, to deal with and discuss youth issues with the City Council.
Is this the beginning of a bigger vision of his in serving in public office?
I know his primary goal right now is to be accepted into the United States Naval Academy and becoming an officer in either the Navy or Marines.
They world is oyster to accomplish whatever he decides to do.
I am extremely proud of this young man and his motivation to accomplish his goals.
Today is very special day. Last night, I watched a young confident and
intelligent young man my Son, Andrew, go to Eagle Board of Review.
The Eagle Board of Review is the 2nd most important part of becoming an Eagle Scout, the most important being there Eagle Service Project.
During this board of review, the Life Scout must explain to adults, including those representing the local Council, how he became a scout, what he has done while a scout, how Scouting has helped him in areas outside of Scouting, and how he sought, planned, carried out, and reviewed his service project.
It is an indicator of the scout’s communication, leadership, and self confidence skills.
The scout must do this himself; neither his parents nor his Scoutmaster is allowed to be present during the actual board of review.
So as we drove to the conference, I asked him , “…are you nervous?”
“No, I’m pretty confident.” Andrew said
I was pretty impressed, because I think I was more nervous than he was taking him there.
But considering he has done over 7 board reviews, 7 scoutmaster reviews and 4-5 skills reviews over the last 3 1/2 years, I can understand why he was pretty confident.
I waited patiently for over hour as Committee Chair Eamonn McGloin, Advancement Chair Mr. Wilson, Assistant Scoutmaster Terry Welsh and lastly District Chair Jack Moser, reviewed my son file, his project and then question him about his experience with scouting, around 6:40pm, I see them leaving the building.
I watched my son with a big grin on his face walked towards me and he said “I am a Eagle Scout.”
I gave him a huge hug and whisper in his ear, “I am proud of you, you did it!”
After 3 years and 9 months of hard work, goal setting, hundreds of hours of service projects, over 26 merit badges, over 60+ camping and hiking trips this young boy who admits not wanting to join boy scouts when he went to first meeting. He has achieved the highest award in boy scouts!
Congratulations, Andrew I am truly proud of you!
To all the scouts, parents, parent volunteers, Scoutmasters, and Assistant Scoutmasters with Troop 11 in Redlands who donate hundreds of hours of their time and a special thank you to David Kehrlein and David Leysena, who where Andrews Scout Fathers and mentor who guided him and taught all these years.
As I reflected back to when you first started scouting, I was amazed by how much you have grown, so I had to share two pictures when Andrew first joined scouting. He is going to kill me!
